Grupo Navemar<\/strong> is pleased to announce that, on October 8th, it launched the pilot route Puerto Chiapas-Puerto Quetzal<\/em>, as part of short-sea shipping between Mexico and Guatemala<\/strong>. This service was operated with our vessel M\/V Aries<\/strong>, a multipurpose vessel with a nominal capacity of 446 TEUs, flying the Mexican flag and operating on the Pacific coast, offering cabotage services between Mexican ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Short Sea Shipping (SSS), also known in other places as Short Sea Shipping, encompasses virtually all maritime traffic originating from or destined for non-transoceanic locations and offers the possibility of creating multimodal logistics chains, as a competitive, economical and environmentally friendly transport solution, with fast and efficient routes for foreign trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the TMCD we can find that fuel consumption per ton-km can be reduced up to six times and therefore CO2 emissions up to 5 times; another advantage of using short sea shipping instead of road transport.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n This route, operated by the MV Aries and with Navemar as the Mexican shipping company, has high potential that will foster regional development.
